Flora's new lot inside the Temple of Karnak

On the 10th of April, the Auction for the lot within the walls of the Temple of Karnak commenced for the tiny sum of 1 nub! BarbInca happily started of the bidding, exclaiming "1 NUB? I'm IN!!!!!" MDidia quickly took advantage of the low price, bidding a whole 2 nub for the lot.

Tecbear quickly rose the price of the lot to 3000 nub, a 1500% rise, much to Epistate's glee, as she cheerfully cried out "let's hear it for a spike in the troubled Waset economy!"

Bidding rose and rose as the big players made their intentions, and the sizes of their wallets and purses, known! The price continued up from 3000 to 70,000, at which point MDidia decided that Crassus had a pretty good idea when you think about it, and gave up bidding in order to go look for a torch...

BarbInca bid against herself in showing the 'civilised' Greeks and Romans that the "great unwashed" of Machu Picchu had more to show for their wealth than just a couple of llamas... bidding was then raised to 100,000 nub!

But it seemed the Romans still had something left in their wallets despite all the marble Romans tend to spend money on, as Flora and Ariminus bidded 120,000... 125,000... and finally Flora scared off all the competition with a massive 150,000 nub!!! In rough figures, that's 170,000 IncaGold, 141 Aureii, or over 2 Talenta in the currencies of the other cities of HistoryWalker!

Flora has now settled in to her new home in Egypt, with beer and figs for visitors!
